Pastors guide lines for Musicans and Singers

·It came to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endures for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD” 2 chronicles 5:13 on is: o see and experience His glory manifested among us purpose is simply to:

· Create an atmosphere of true worship

· Encourage the local church to become active worshippers

· Maintain a consistent “flow” of God’s presence

The DCCI Music Department are called musicans and singers who have accepted to serve with their gifts of music and worship. For more information on special events or auditions contact the music department at music@destinycommunitychurch.com. This growing diverse ministry needs the following extra positions to serve:

Voices of Destiny (Sanctuary choir) –
This august body of singers and worshippers assist in the DCCI worship services, primarily on Sunday mornings and Wednesday mid week services. The style of music learned and performed consists of a wide range of influences including praise and worship, hymns, and various world music sounds.

Destiny Praise Team (Frontline singers) –
Responsible for leading the church into a place of worship and preparing the atmosphere for the spoken word, this group of singers maintains a repertoire of current and standard praise and worship songs. The style of music learned and performed vary from Urban Praise and Worship to Contemporary Gospel to Contemporary Christian music

Children’s Church Praise Team
“But Jesus called them unto him, and said, suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” Luke 18:16

Spearheaded by adult Destiny Praise Team members, this group leads our rising generation of praise and worshippers into the presence of God. Various audiovisual and interactive techniques are used in order to create an effective worship experience geared specifically towards this age group. It is the goal of this ministry to encourage our children to seek the Lord even at a young age.
